— 🌶️I’m always looking for better ways to filter the Live in-person events and the virtual events because while I like being abel to see ALL my options layed out, I know others prefer to the abilitiy to widdle things down and only see what is hyper focused on their interests. Thats Why I’ll be adding in an “Conference or Course” select box so you can easily filter between the big conferences, expos, and summits that maybe happen 1 time per year vs courses that are hosted in different facilties throughout the year. Maybe it was somethign that I should have included from the start, but you don’t know what people want until they start using your stuff. and I certanly didn’t think about it. It’s good I can stay flexible.

The Peter Attia Drive|#380 ‒ The seed oil debate: are they uniquely harmful relative to other dietary fats? w/ Layne Norton, Ph.D.
Layne Norton emphasizes that the net health effect of nutrients trumps isolated mechanisms. He rejects the idea that ancestral diets are inherently optimal, citing modern food modifications and biology’s focus on reproduction over longevity. The Hadza’s low LDL and minimal heart disease challenge anti-seed oil claims. Norton also warns that social media clips often misrepresent studies by omitting context, advocating for careful, direct analysis to avoid misleading conclusions.

Personal Update
— A great weekend, a solid and easy representation of accepting the “sacrifice” of a choice. I had a loose plan going into the weekend, nothing written in stone, nothing that was so important that it had to be scheduled, so it was pretty free. I went into it wanting to paint/draw more, hammock more, read more, and do whatever made me feel most relaxed. What had happened was 6 hours of golf in some very hot sunny weather: 18 holes on Friday early evening and another 9 in the middle of the day on Saturday. Then Sunday: train a client and…melt into the living room, rent a movie, and rewatch Rings of Power. It was a great weekend. I made a trade, a conscious trade, a valued trade.
Choosing to accept a sacrifice might seem easier if it’s for enjoyable things like golfing and movies, but remember, the same idea holds even when the decision is tough. Try to let go of the urge to keep revisiting, regretting, or resenting the cost. A truly meaningful choice isn’t about losing nothing; it’s about understanding what you’re giving up and still feeling that it’s worth it.
