Feb 10 | The Monday Report
When faced with desires that remain out of reach, it can be easier to dismiss them as unworthy rather than confront the discomfort of unfulfilled aspirations. Desire and worth are subjective.
FITLETE Professional Update
The Resource Nexus
— There are no significant updates for this section this week.
However, I will be making a small update to the equipment nexus in the future. I added only a single listing for each manufacturer, and going back through it, it seems that a few have their HQ location(which I listed) and then another distribution hub. I will add the ones allowing local pick-up because that fits the project's goal.
FITLETE Radio
— I listened! The poll results from last week said an even split for adding Spotify and Apple podcast links. The podcast is still available on any listening platform, but now linked below are the browser links “read full story” and then below that are the direct episode links that should open up in their respective apps if you are on a mobile device.

FITLETE Nation Apparel
— I am almost done with the first set of designs for the apparel. This is not a profit-driven project; I want to make stuff I like and share it with anyone who wants to support what I am doing with FITLETE. Art is fun, and this is going to be some of mine.
Fantastic podcasts I heard last week:
*Each show linked below will summarize the episode and key takeaways based on the highlights I made during my listen on SnipD.
The Strong AF x Well-Conditioned Show—Ep 51 Breaking Up With Social Media
WTF Gym Talk—Proof3 Is The Evolution of Group Fitness w/ Jim Crowell
Coach Em Up Podcast—Ep. 39: Challenging the S&C Status Quo with ANTHONY COCKRILL
More Train, Less Pain; Engineering the Adaptable Athlete—S5E10: Angus Bradley on GPP, the BPS Model, and Creating Lifelong Fitness Enthusiasts
Hidden Brain—Wellness 2.0: The Art of the Unknown
Here’s a link to download Snipd, the podcast app I use to make a “notebook” of A.I. transcripts, bookmarks within episodes, and take notes on each podcast I hear! They have a free app you can use or, with this link, you get 1 month of their Premium version for free: 1 Free Month Of Premium Snipd.
Personal Update
—Last weekend, we had family in town! I like having guests in town. Besides spending time with great people, we can showcase some of our favorite places in Miami and potentially visit places we have been interested in.
Apparently, the flu has been running wild, and many of my clients unfortunately got stuck with it and had to cancel their sessions. I used these unplanned hours to fix some things in the facility and take a nice walk.
Thursday was a cool morning. One of my clients is in a BNI chapter and will be out of town during their weekly meeting; I was her sub for the meeting. It was my first experience with this type of group business networking thing. I don’t know if I will join the chapter, but its concept intrigues me. I didn’t know what to expect going into it, but as a small business whose primary source of clients has been through a network of trusted referrals, I can see how the BNI concept has some staying power.
Do you have any experience with BNI or another professional referral network?
