This was my version of classy, casual, and functional. To some people who care about that world, this might be more “fashun” than fashion, but to me it was just…me. It was me in the sense that my fashion choices hurt no one; I felt good in them, and I made it so I didn't have to spend energy on something I truly couldn't care less about. It took me a while to realize how this mindset of not wasting energy on things I don’t care about spilled (beneficially) into other areas of my life and practice; maybe it was more obvious to others than to me, but I now see it as a consistent theme in my decision-making as a business owner and a coach. You can’t be everything or the best at everything; you have to choose where to put your energy.
