The Monday Report
July 1| 1,000 new in-person and virtual events added for the year's second half as I kick off Q3's updates.
Personal Update
A lesson in frugality and resourcefulness. I needed some more cardio torture devices for the facility, so given that I enjoy sticking to my budget, I took to the Facebook marketplace and found a rower in great condition and an industrialized version of a Versa climber called a “steel climber”.
Fantastic podcasts I heard last week:
The Obvious Choice Podcast: 226 Charlie Hoehn- Creating something people can’t get enough of.
Founders Podcast: #354 Sam Walton: The Inside Story of America’s richest man.
Sigma Nutrition Radio: #524: Strength & Fitness Levels for Reducing Chronic Disease Risk & Promoting Health Ageing – Jordan Feigenbaum, MD
Renaissance Periodization Youtube: Celebrity Trainer Reveals The Truth About Steroid Use In Hollywood
Here’s a link to download Snipd, the podcast app I use to make a “notebook” of A.I. transcripts, bookmarks within episodes, and take notes on each podcast I hear! They have a free app you can use or, with this link, you get 1 month of their Premium version for free: 1 Free Month Of Premium Snipd
Professional Update
As I update new events and courses, I think it’s important for me to share any information I come across.
188 Organizations that I have cataloged education events in the past either no longer exist or have merged with other companies.
127 Organizations that used to have live events have been exclusively online for the last two years, either through recorded webinars or online courses.
126 Updates and checks I need to make to finish Q3 and conclude my event updates for 2024.
Someone informed me of an error they found on the online courses table: only the price filter works. This made me scratch my head, but I understand where I made an error, which will be fixed this week. This course directory is getting large and will most likely top 1,000 courses by the end of the year.
