Ads Rating: 90
Only has his own promotional material, and recently started doing some mid roll ads.
Banter Rating: 80
The shows have minimal banter even through the feel of the show is very casual conversation style for interviews and his solo Q&As. There are times where he does lose his place or rant a bit, but they are pretty few and far between.
Structure Rating: 85
The show follows the same intros and outros each episode and interviews are highly structured, but don’t sound like they are when you listen to the shows. The Q&A episodes are less structured, but it still follows a general template within the rants.
Podcast Notes Rating: 65
Good notes for the majority of the Q&A episodes. He started to make better changes to the notes recently for the interviews but still need improvements down the road.
Podcast Titles Rating: 90
Very solid titles. always includes episode number, guest name, and show topics being discussed for and interview show. Q&A shows are also well done with a similar structure of the interview shows.
Audio Quality Rating: 90
Great audio quality from the hosts and the guests that come on the show. I haven't listened to an episode that sounded really poor yet. Sometimes the guests have poor audio(like my episode) but that's difficult for him to control.
My Final Score: B
I think his show is a perfect blend of developing a niche show for his rugby crowd while also providing huge value for both his coaching clients and fitness professionals. His Q&A episodes are all questions asked by his clients and members of his facebook group and usually include some commentary from the world of Rugby. When he does have a guest on for an interview there is usually an underlying mission to answer some questions that have been asked within his Q&A episodes and he tries to ask questions of his guest that will be easily digested of his clientele audience first. If you are a trainer or coach listening to the show it can a great example of how to talk with some of your clients and how to develop a niche and spreading information from other high quality professionals.
