June 30 | The Monday Report
I'm against wasting emotional energy on past sorrows. Dwelling on old griefs hinders personal growth and happiness. Instead, focus on the present and future.
FITLETE Professional Update
The Resource Nexus
— July is a HUGE time of the year for events. There are numerous national, international, and significant conference events happening this Quarter, but this month seems to attract a considerable number of the big ones.
I used to provide weekly updates of every event for the week in the Monday report, but it was becoming too lengthy to compile everything together in a single report. It wasn’t a lot of work on my end, but it was all too much for one weekly report in this format.
I had a question mark next to this to bring up this week. I was thinking of creating a separate weekly “sub-report”(not a separate emailed newsletter) that I would simply link to inside the Monday report to showcase the upcoming events for the coming week. Then, within the Monday Report, I could directly showcase any upcoming Annual Events for the month. I thought it could be something like this:
—Education Opportunities For July(this is an actual list for this July)
1st-7th
The Nutrition Society: Annual Conference
European College Of Sports Science: Annual Congress
8th-14th
American Physical Therapy Association: Future of Physical Therapy Summit
Kevin Dineen: St. Louis Fitness Conference
American Academy Of Sports Physical Therapy: Annual Meeting
15th-21st
National Strength And Conditioning Association: National Conference
Idea Health And Fitness Association: Idea World Conference
Rehabilitation Medicine Society Of Australia and New Zealand: ASM Conference
22nd-30th
East Asia Research: Asia-Singapore Conference on Sport Science
SCW Fitness Education: SCW Atlanta Mania
Club Management Association Of America: Governance & Leadership Symposiums
Then I'd have a link that says: ‘Click here’ for events this week.

Personal Update
— I was laughing to myself this week because I was explaining to my new client that I have creative hobbies outside of the gym and training people; I told him I like to sketch and paint. As what often happens in a situation like this its reasonable to ask “ can I see some of your stuff?” which he asked, and I said unfortunately no because I don’t keep pictures of it anywhere. It’s true though I don’t keep any record of the things I have painted or drawn, the only “displays of my creativity these days is fitletes.com, my really bad photoshopped pictures of my face over old photos every Thursday on Instagram, and my Unsplah photo profile. If I make something, I usually take a picture or 2, send it to my friend for feedback, show my wife, delete the photo then hang it up in the apartment or the gym. Maybe its weird for the time we are living in where everyone shares everything all the time. I’m at the spot where ill probably just keep my hobbies just for me, or share them with some anonymity like a less cool version of Bansky. lol I’ll take some pictures of the art for him to see, but then ill just end up deleting them again.
