Jan 13 | The Monday Report
Focus on developing inner qualities rather than getting caught up in the pursuit of superficial validation. Outward appearance can mask one's true identity, virtues, integrity, or worth.
FITLETE Professional Update
The Resource Nexus
— 158 New Annual events were added this past week. Some were even updated through 2026& 2027. My primary objective for the rest of the month will be hammering out event updates to the Map. There's only about another 5,800 to go, lol.
Based on my Continuing education event archive, February, March, April, and October have historically had the highest concentration of events, at 34%. However, this concentration shifted pretty dramatically last year to be exclusive to the middle part of the year: April, May, June, and the beginning of July, making up 54% of all events!
FITLETE Radio
— I initially said that I would release my first monologue podcast episode last week, but then I got informed that the same day I was going to publish mine, the episode I did with Alison K would come out the same day! So I am waiting on that release to allow you the time(if you want) to listen to my episode on her podcast, “Creating the World’s Best Client Experience”.
While I haven’t done many podcasts, I think I have improved my “abilities” as a guest, and this one is 1000% my favorite. Thanks again, Alison, for the opportunity to record a show together.
Fantastic podcasts I heard last week:
Lift Free And Diet Hard with Andrew Coates: #320. Dr Alyssa Olenick- Zone 2 Cardio, Hybrid Training, VO2Max and Longevity
Sigma Nutrition Radio- #545: Carbohydrate Metabolism, Performance & Metabolic Health with Professor Javier Gonzalez
RX’D Radio- E 574: From Internships to Impact: Mastering Time, Money, and Energy
Here’s a link to download Snipd, the podcast app I use to make a “notebook” of A.I. transcripts, bookmarks within episodes, and take notes on each podcast I hear! They have a free app you can use or, with this link, you get 1 month of their Premium version for free: 1 Free Month Of Premium Snipd.
Personal Update
— It's the second week in January, and I don’t know about you, but being self-employed as a personal trainer, the new year flux always carries a little bit more energy (for better or worse) than at other times in the year. I plan and strategize on repeat in Q4 for everything that I want to happen in 2025, so I know what I have to do and what I want to do, but it still feels like I want things to move faster and get quicker results from my actions. This sounds familiar to a lot of the things that clients, both old and new, say, so I have to remind myself that the plan is in place and to focus on being consistent with the plan as it’s set up. As much as I don’t like moments like this, I enjoy being reminded that I am human and will have the same mental struggles around setting and reaching goals as my clients have with their fitness; it’s expressed in other things.
