Personal Update
It’s Art Basel week in Miami and this time of year is one of my absolute favorites. Along with the 100,000+ people that flock to the city from across the globe, many artists come to create, display and sell their creations. For me, it’s incredible because the neighborhood that I live and work in goes through this radical visual transformation when all of the new graffiti murals are completed; it's like living in a new place. This always reminds me to keep making art as one of my lifelong hobbies and to do a better job sharing anything I create(art or work) with the world, because to me something created to bring positive energy to the world can’t do that if my eyes are the only ones that see it.
Fantastic Podcast(s) I listened to last week
Fitness Education Online Podcast- Ep 241: Asia Fitness Conference 2022 with Suzanne Hosley.
Suzanne is the Founder and Manager of the Asia Fitness Conference. She's also the Founder and CEO of Fitness Innovations Thailand and has been working in fitness and sports education and training in Thailand for 10 years now.
What a cool easy listening episode. Suzanne did something incredibly cool when she started this Asia Fitness Conference. It began as a grassroots and bootstrapped opportunity for some of her students to learn and turned into something so much more. What a cool story.
Founders Podcast with David Senra- #271 Endless Frontier: Vannevar Bush, Engineer of the American Century
One of America’s most awe-inspiring polymaths and the secret force behind the biggest technological breakthroughs of the twentieth century.
As the inventor and public entrepreneur who launched the Manhattan Project, helped to create the military-industrial complex, conceived a permanent system of government support for science and engineering, and anticipated both the personal computer and the Internet, Vannevar Bush is the twentieth century’s, Ben Franklin.
Listen to some moments of learning that David had while reading the book this episode is based on. A major point I took from this episode is to never lose faith in the power one person had and could have in business, industry, or society.
You can do great things as an individual, and an entrepreneur who runs more lean and resourceful will win, because bureaucracy takes more time and energy to keep itself in existence before it starts solving problems.
