Personal Update
Wow, last weekend we spent our 14th year anniversary in a new city(Philadelphia, PA) and it was an excellent experience. We walked the city about 15 miles each day and it was such a pleasure seeing a blend of my 2 favorite hobbies Art & History. Miami has a ton of art which I love, but zero emphasis on history. I had a blast and feel a bit refreshed after taking some time away from working. It was a good reminder that I need to pay more attention to my general work load.
Cool Podcast I listened to last week
RX’d Radio Episode 290 with Eric Bugera
Before this episode, I did not know Eric as a professional. I was very impressed with how he was able to make points on the ceilings in the industry, the low barrier to entry for professionals, the impact our profession has on people’s lives, and the power of bettering yourself as a coach.
I also found this episode relatable to the moment because there is a pretty decent-sized debate happening at the moment throughout the industry about the dangers(or lack thereof) of heavy-loaded barbell back squats and heavy-loaded barbell deadlifts for the general population. I thought the conversation Eric has with Jordan about training the general population and “what is optimal training” can really help open this debate up a bit instead of creating 2 polarizing camps either for or against.
If you are unfamiliar with RX’d radio prepare yourself for a decent amount of cuss words lol and a decent amount of educated rants.
