Personal Update
The Volatility of Business, Man… working as an independent trainer can be riddled with moments of volatility (liability to change rapidly and unpredictably, especially for the worse.). I have been doing this for over a decade, but I haven’t taken a moment to workshop something I call a “kill the business exercise” in a while, and thought it would be good to do that again this past week. This exercise is a way to assess your business and address some vulnerabilities that might threaten its existence in a hypothetical future. This is not a “what if another Covid happens” exercise because those are things that you can never really predict or plan for. To do this exercise you need to look at some key aspects of how you set up your business, create a hypothetical but realistic threat to it, and try to problem-solve these threats.
This Weeks Really cool podcast to listen to is:
“Alloy Personal Training Business Podcast”
June 8th Episode: 3 Ways to simplify your business.
2 Key takeaway points are to keep it simple and Keep the main service the main focus. They go into some great discussion that takes these points to the next level and they were very easy to understand. I liked how they emphasized the need to pull the reigns in and think frugally about how you want to grow within your business. Take a listen.

I have had to sunset some side projects that I initially built to be dynamically updated directories just because they were taking a bit more time to keep updated and improve in their current state. They are:
The Free Directory Of Tools
On-Demand Apparel Guide
The Podcast Directory
The good news is they are not going to be lost to the world of abandoned projects just re-imagined. to make sure they still provide value without taking time and energy away from my main mission with FITLETE. My main mission is education discovery and hosting tools.
