Take a Look at this week in FITLETE.
Personal update:
Making a lot of progress within my own training, and I’m really enjoying the reading routine I have established. It’s one of those habits that pays dividends. Also I lost my headphones and for my podcast and walk listening time this is going to take a huge hit until I can get some more.
This weeks really cool podcast to listen to is a "twofer":
Freakonomics Radio
Episode # 379 Update published March 16th, 2022: How to Change your Mind
We are in a polarizing industry. Everyone seems to only live within their "silo" without an opportunity to be heard without intense scrutiny from anyone that exists outside of their siloed community. This episode has nothing to do the fitness industry. It focuses on more a more common understanding of the topic, politics and how those who seem to change their mind when new information comes to light are considered untrustworthy and "flip floppers". It also talks in depth(but really plainly) about how those who step outside of their tribal norms are often shunned, the idea behind how one could peacefully attempt to change the mind of someone else, and how to identify areas and way you might need help seeing through your own biases.

UMSO Podcast
Episode # 215 Squat University's Dr. Aaron Horschig- His Love Of Helping People Through Strength
One of the best pieces of this episode is when it sinks in that even with his IG at 2.1 million followers he handles majority of the engagement, and content creation himself on top of treating in clinic with a full time schedule as a physical therapist. Sure he may not be in a 20 patient a day clinic model but it's still very impressive to see someone take full control of their work like he does. It can be a good eye opener for you(like it was for me) that there's still a whole lot more that you could be doing if you took the time to plan your day better and be more strict with your time consuming tasks. It's a quality episode whether you subscribe to his work or not.
For me the take home message from this episode is there is plenty of opportunity to make a significant impact with some dedicated effort, and you don't need a team of people behind you. You can do it all with a team of you and only you. Believe in yourself.
