August 12th The Monday Report
I've got "Lots of coals on the fire" this August! I think that’s a saying, right? Every time I attempt to level up I am reminded of the value of prioritizing tasks, realistic planning & organization.
Professional Update
I've got "Lots of coals on the fire" this August! I think that’s a saying. Every time I attempt to level up, I am reminded of the value of prioritizing tasks, realistic planning, and organization.
I’ve added the features to the public side of the website that I had planned, and so far, I am happy with this version. I am satisfied with it because I can expand this data structure to update the other private and business-centric side of the website.
The only non-exclusive job board built for entrepreneurs, Brick and Mortar, and online coaches first. (filling the database slowly, it just launched last week. I appreciate your patience) $10 yearly to post unlimited jobs & internships.
I don’t know if I mention this enough or if it’s known outside of those I’ve spoken with in depth about FITLETE, but the vast majority of what FITLETE does on the public side is not generating significant revenue.
My goal is to continue developing the tools that benefit all personal trainers FIRST and then work with brands, organizations, and companies that share the same mission of providing value to coaches as their primary motive.
That’s what a “Business relationship” is with FITLETE. With the launch of the podcasts and rolling out the reimagined features of logged-in accounts, you will start to see more from this area of FITLETE. A lot of self-promotion and advertising is in my future. Don’t worry. It doesn’t mean I will be spamming your inbox with nonsense.
Fantastic podcasts I heard last week:
Freakanomics Radio: EXTRA: Here’s Why You’re Not an Elite Athlete (Update)
The Revive Stronger Podcast: 428: How Sleep Impacts Cognitive & Physical Performance - Paul Hough
Sigma Nutrition Radio: #531: Correlation, Causation & Cliché
The Strength Running Podcast: Aerobic Threshold and the Benefits of Zone 3 with John Davis, PhD
Founders Podcast By David Senra: #356 How The Sun Rose On Silicon Valley: Bob Noyce (Founder of Intel)
Here’s a link to download Snipd, the podcast app I use to make a “notebook” of A.I. transcripts, bookmarks within episodes, and take notes on each podcast I hear! They have a free app you can use or, with this link, you get 1 month of their Premium version for free: 1 Free Month Of Premium Snipd
Personal Update
It was a tough week. Work-wise, it was quite a standard week with clients and admin, but we have some family stuff going on that was quite emotionally taxing. Dealing with thoughts and feelings around the near future death of a loved one is challenging. You don’t necessarily desire to think about it before it’s in your face, even though we know it's the predictable end we all will see. There’s a weight stacked onto the day that isn’t usually there. I think it’s important to try to avoid rumination on those feelings and stay as present on the positives of days as much as possible, so I am focused on the upcoming 16th anniversary I can celebrate with my wife, Nikki, this weekend.
