Description
This podcast is no longer actively putting out new episodes.
I’m Ron McKeefery, a NFL, NCAA, and MLB Strength & Conditioning Coach. You may know me from my other podcast “Iron Game Chalk Talk”, or my #1 International Amazon Bestseller “CEO Strength Coach”. I love talking shop and answering questions. That’s why I’ve started the AskCoachMac podcast. AskCoachMac is a brand new, WEEKLY podcast. Each episode features an actual question submitted from someone like you! I won’t be able to answer everyone’s question, but I’ll do my best to get through as many of them as I can. I have found by answering questions, and interacting with coaches from around the world I become a better coach. I look forward to talking shop about Strength and Conditioning, Business, Motivation, Leadership, Life, and so much more. #AskCoachMac.
Ads Rating: 90
Only contains ads for about 45 seconds in the beginning of the episodes, and also inline with the show intro, its easy to forget to skip over these because how short they are.
Banter Rating: 100
The shows format does not allow for banter and he does go off topic at all in each episode.
Structure Rating: 100
Exactly the same structure each show. Intro, then sponsor Ad, then Pre-recorded “call in” question, then Coach answers it directly followed by closing out the episode.
Podcast Notes Rating: 20
Notes in the podcast player are pretty useless unless you want to navigate to his website. The show notes say that you can find them on the website, but since the show is no longer updated it can be difficult to find any notes. While I don’t think it hurts the podcast since the episodes are so short I still would like to see some..
Podcast Titles Rating: 95
Perfect format for the show, Includes an episode number, and the question being asked/answered in the show.
Audio Quality Rating: 90
The audio is great for his mic but sometimes there can be some poor sound quality form the people who ask the questions. I think it would have been a better approach to take the time to repeat the question in his own recording than to allow the poor audio to be in the show. luckily the questions are usually really short.
My Final Score: B
I love the show format being so short and focused. Coach Mac provides a great bit of insight in each answer without going off on a tangent or rambling around an answer. If you have like 2 hours you can literally listen to the entire library of episodes.
