Description
We are Jason and Lauren Pak and we co-own Achieve Fitness — a gym located in Somerville, MA. We’ve been coaches in the fitness industry for over a decade now, and we’re excited to share our experience and knowledge with you in a Q+A format! It seems like anyone these days can add “fitness” or “coach” to their Instagram handle and tout themselves as a fitness expert on social media, which is why we decided to create this show to dispel myths and provide quality information to our listeners. We hope you enjoy our show!
Ads Rating: 100
They don't have any show ads
Banter Rating: 90
Even with the relaxed nature of the shows question and answer format they tend to minimalize their banter. Even if they go off on a small tangent, the talking points are still directed towards the original question being asked.
Structure Rating: 85
For the most part it is a Q&A show mixed in with some stories from the hosts. They have made small adjustments to the show since the beginning, but you can expect a pretty familiar show format if you listen from episode #1.
Podcast Notes Rating: 90
Around episode 60 they started adding timestamps into their show notes. Recently I noticed that some of the timestamps are actually clickable within the notes so you can easily jump to the specific part of the episode. Their notes are brief and to the point without leaving out the important Q&A topics and brief descriptions.
Podcast Titles Rating: 90
Every Episode has an episode number and the questions they will be answering, they use similar terms in their show notes so it’s easy to pick specific episodes and search through them if you want to listen to specific topics.
Audio Quality Rating: 90
The audio is great, since it is a Q&A show their is no outside guest mic that needs to be adjusted. I believe they record the show in person so the environment is controlled.
My Final Score: A
This is a very interesting show because it hits on both topics that are great for the fitness enthusiast, new trainers and small business owners/entrepreneurs. This is me being a bit picky, but i think they would deliver a more beneficial product for their listeners if they were able to break up their Q&A episodes between the populations and even label them appropriately in the show titles and show notes. It would give anyone who is new to their show a great way to filter through content even easier than they can now. I appreciate that they don’t banter that much.
