8/26 The Monday Report
In today's interconnected world, our "neighbors" might be social media connections that can act as "neighbors," influencing our daily thoughts and emotions.
Professional Update
1 year with FITLETE HQ. It was official on August 23rd 2024. That was one year from the day the keys to my very own headquarters got dropped into my hand.
I made a short video recap of the space's build-out and posted it to Instagram this past weekend, but it doesn’t nearly do the year justice.
This week, I will add another 150 or so in-person events, some with live virtual participation options, and, as always, make some strategic updates to the online courses directory.
Making these updates has been exciting because I have seen some additional traffic to the site from New visitors and more Direct site visits, which means people are finding FITLETE and then coming back on their own without being referred from another site or piece of content!
I talked with an old friend last week who has been building an excellent resource for coaches and trainers, and I am excited to dive deeper into it and present it to you. I have always wanted to help entrepreneurial trainers, and he has successfully built something for them(you).
…
Fantastic podcasts I heard last week:
Here’s a link to download Snipd, the podcast app I use to make a “notebook” of A.I. transcripts, bookmarks within episodes, and take notes on each podcast I hear! They have a free app you can use or, with this link, you get 1 month of their Premium version for free: 1 Free Month Of Premium Snipd
Personal Update
This is both a professional and a personal update because for the 1-year mark of having FITLETE HQ, I decided to do something that, to this point, was something I didn’t do professionally and that was celebrated openly with others at a moment in my career when I was proud of. I'm not a Scrooge or anything, and I enjoy a good party in my personal life, but professionally, I always seem to “overcorrect” my acknowledgment of successes to something a coach once said to me when I was growing up in sports; “act like you been there before, and celebrate later.” Sometimes, I hear it being said in my head without even thinking about it, and then I put my head down to keep trying to grind out the work to get another. I don’t think it’s a bad thing to adopt sometimes, but I definitely need to allow myself to celebrate myself with more than a fist pump in the air and a quiet scream of excitement.
Thank you to everyone who showed up and shared a moment of your precious time on this earth to celebrate with me.
