Ads Rating: 85
Mostly Self promotion type advertising at the beginning and the end of each episode. A few episodes are sprinkled with a 3rd party adverts, but neither the self promo or 3rd part piece have any real structure to them. Some promo spots are really short while others kind of drag on into an almost rambling side note that you’ll end up skipping over after a little frustration.
Banter Rating: 90
They stay on topic for the majority of the episodes, and any conversation that seems off topic is cut short or eventually loops back to the main point within a conversation.
Structure Rating: 80
Shows stopped in mid 2018 but until they stopped recording they were releasing episodes on a weekly basis. Most of them are interview style while others are solo or a pair of hosts discussing a specific topic.
Podcast Notes Rating: 30
Their notes are primarily a spot for them to promote their services. Most of their notes start and finish with a service description and promo while the the middle of the note contains any relevant information about the episode. This format makes it difficult to get the info you really need in a show note.
Podcast Titles Rating: 85
All episodes are numbered for easy reference, but oddly the structure of the titles varies pretty greatly between episodes. Some of them seem like the would not be an interview because there is no information of the guest.
Audio Quality Rating: 90
Audio quality is really nice, there is limited differences in pitch or gain between guests which is nice when you are listening to a few shows in playlist you don't have to worry about one being really quiet and another being overbearingly loud.
My Final Score: C+
An interesting show that surrounds the business strategies and people within the functional sport of fitness. The interviews feature a lot of people I have never heard form on a podcast before so it’s fun to hear a perspective on topics that have been talked about a lot. I’m not sure why the show schedule ended, and haven't looked into it, but before it was axed the show remained on structured releases.
